Black Mold Symptoms

Black mold, also known as stachybotrys chartarum is considered to be the most toxic type of mold. There are a lot of symptoms associated with balck mold, but they can be classified as affecting in principle the gastrointestinal, respiratory, nervous and immune systems of the body.

Generic Black Mold Symptoms

Black mold symptoms include:
• difficulty breathing,
• itchy-eyes, sneezing, cough,
• anxiety, depression, memory loss,
• hearing loss,
• metallic taste in the mouth,
• acid reflux, abdominal pain, digestive problems, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome,
• intermittent facial blushing,
• poor appetite,
• nosebleeds,
• vision difficulties,
• night sweats.

It is sometimes difficult to identify the cause of the symptoms above, as many of them can be associated with multiple conditions. Less Generic Black Mold Symptoms

Neurological damage. The work to determine the extent to which black mold exposure can lead to neurological damage is still in progress. Various people can be affected to different degrees, but babies are again the more vulnerable ones.

Black mold symptoms are usually more severe in babies, but also in pregnant women, elder people, in those undergoing chemotherapy. People suffering from cancer, AIDS, respiratory problems and allergies are also prone to a more serious reaction to black mold.
